Sony fcb-ev5500 / fcb-cv5500 Technical Manual

Sony FCB-EV/CV series product overview:

In order to meet the demand for high-quality, high-resolution images that can only be provided by the full HD format, Sony has introduced a series of new high-definition camera components FCB-EV/CV series.

Sony’s FCB-EV/CV series provide a wide range of products from 10x to 30x optical zoom, as well as HD or Full HD. All these cameras have inherited many world-renowned FCB functions, including wide dynamic function, automatic day and night conversion function and spherical privacy zone masking function. These practical properties are suitable for a variety of application fields and fully meet the various needs of users.

In addition, Sony has introduced two high-sensitivity, high-quality cameras FCB-EV/CV7520 and FCB-EV/CV7320 with built-in 1/2.8 Exmor R™ CMOS sensors to provide full HD video with extraordinary sensitivity. In addition, these cameras use STARVIS™ technology to achieve high image quality under visible and near-infrared light.

Key performance:

The high
-performance 1/3-inch Exmor™ CMOS sensor that captures Octavia and clear high-definition (720/60p) image quality can achieve first-class high-definition image quality even in low-light environments. The progressive scan mode reduces the blur of the picture and makes the picture smoother-it can capture the details of the dynamic image and is an ideal choice for shooting.

30x optical zoom lens with fast response and high transmittance. This high-quality lens has extremely high transmittance, maximum aperture of F1.6, and 30x optical zoom range. At the same time, its fast focusing capability (from wide-angle to far-end) can realize smooth and high-speed conversion of monitoring range from wide-angle area to close-up details. It is an ideal choice for security and surveillance applications.

Image stabilization function The
camera component has a built-in image stabilizer, which can minimize image blurring and shaking caused by low-frequency vibration. In outdoor security monitoring and traffic monitoring applications, the camera may be affected by wind; when installed on a bridge or telephone pole, it will face mechanical vibration. At this time, the anti-shake function is very useful. It can bring you more stable and clear picture quality!

StableZoom™ ( stabilized focus )
uses an image stabilizer, a combination of optical and digital zoom functions to improve the picture quality, while maintaining the original horizontal viewing angle to ensure that the picture size remains the same, and reduce the blur effect.

The 2D/3D noise reduction function
has advanced noise reduction technology, which can filter the noise in the picture, allowing users to obtain a clear picture effect even in low-light environments. The noise reduction level can be selected in 5 levels to adapt to a variety of different operating environments.Sony fcb-ev5500 Technical Manual

The visual enhancement and fog penetration function
can dynamically enhance the picture quality. Within a given dynamic range, the picture will continue to adapt and adjust the scene pixel by pixel. In addition, they also have the function of fog penetration, even in the smoky environment can also shoot clearer pictures.

Wide dynamic range
Wide dynamic range picture processing technology allows users to see clear and detailed images in high-contrast or backlit environments.
* The FCB-CV5500 camera component supports a wide dynamic range of 120dB (HD 720 resolution) to make the picture clearer.

penetration function The fog penetration function allows you to see clearly and naturally in foggy or hazy scenes. When this function is activated, the camera will detect the haze level and automatically apply the desired effect. According to user requirements, the level of these effects can be adjusted through VISCA commands.

HLC ( High Light Compensation )
HLC (High Light Compensation) technology helps to improve the visibility of license plates when shooting bright headlights in low-light conditions, for example. Bright parts in the image are automatically masked and compensated for better visibility.

Automatic ICR ( automatic infrared cut filter removal )

In low light conditions, the camera automatically switches from day mode to night mode, cancels the infrared cut filter to improve sensitivity, and clear images in near darkness. The spherical privacy area masking feature makes it possible to selectively mask the field of view for privacy. The masked area will automatically interlock with the camera's pan/tilt/zoom movement.Sony fcb-ev5500

A wide range of functions and diverse operations.
Through a wide range of functions and adjustments, multi-function operations are ensured, including: white balance mode; picture effects ( E-Flip, Nega art, black and white, mirroring, color enhancement ); motion detection/alarm; picture freezing; temperature Reading; slow AE response; electronic shutter/slow shutter; and title display/camera mode display (English).

Uninterrupted day and night to provide clear monitoring images
In the day and night non-stop monitoring operations, under the conditions of frequent changes in lighting conditions, these camera components also have optimized image quality.

In the high-sensitivity mode, the camera assembly can operate effectively at light levels as low as 0.35 lx (ICR on).

Automatic day and night conversion function Automatic infrared filter removal function, in low light environment, the camera assembly automatically switches from day mode to night mode, remove the infrared filter, improve sensitivity, so that a clear picture can be taken at night.Sony fcb-ev5500 / fcb-cv5500 Technical Manual

Spherical privacy zone masking Users can select a certain area in the monitoring screen for privacy masking. The masked area will be automatically locked with the camera pan/tilt/zoom.

Theoutput video signal format can be selected in high-definition (digital and analog) and standard-definition formats. Users do not need to purchase additional analog/digital converters, thereby reducing system integration costs. During the normal live broadcast, you can directly change the video output mode without restarting the camera hardware.
